The Belwood regatta...I'm glad I was reminded how much fun we have and that eventually many decided to come back. Seven boats in total with a race committee to boot. The weather was beautiful, sunny, clear, BUT, light winds. Really light winds, creating frustration as you could tack without changing direction. AHHH!!! (Memories of Fanshawe Lake).
Saturday night was not a disappointment as the fire was warm and cozy. The lighting of old picnic tables kept the crowd warm and entertained. Thanks to Ryan Smith and Adrien for setting up the course and waiting patiently for us to finish. Sunday, sadly the wind was too weak to get us out there. Karl, Carman and I had a nice tour of the lake as we waited for the big puffs, but no luck. A good lunch and farewell for the day. We will do it again next year. Planning date last weekend in May.
